During an anti-racism protest in Paris, journalist Clément Lanot was struck on the head with a baton by a police officer. Lanot claims he was tripped and clearly identified as a journalist. The police prefect urged caution against hasty judgment, stating the strike wasn't forceful, and that the incident occurred amidst police being targeted with projectiles. An internal report has been requested from the police involved.
